About Liz

Liz is passionate about tearing down barriers to exclusive spaces, from politics to AI, and everything in between. She launched her career at a climate justice nonprofit in 2013 and moved into tech in 2015 to lead the growth of Capital Factory's entrepreneurship community. While there, she oversaw the growth of the founder community, investor pitches and led Department of Defense visits, resulting in the launch of Army Futures Command.

In 2018, she proudly joined Valkyrie as the first official employee. Valkyrie is an applied science firm bringing cutting-edge machine learning to clients from Fortune500 companies to the US government.

Recently, she launched Valkyrie's social impact initiative, Valkyrie Virtue. Their mission is to democratize AI through pro-bono work for non-profits and investing in future scientists.

Liz also co-founded a civic activation organization called GoodPolitics, dedicated to making democracy more accessible, human and fun. In addition, she has proudly served on the board of Legacy Collective and Austin Tech Alliance.
